RFJ Yeowart Attorneys

RFJ Yeowart Attorneys is a boutique legal practice situated in Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.

Established in 1990 by James Yeowart, the firm specialises in administration of Deceased Estates, drafting and preparation of Wills, estate planning, estate duty planning, administration of testamentary and inter vivos Trusts and consulting re Curatorship Estates and most other areas of fiduciary law.

Although James Yeowart retired in December 2015 from active practice, he assisted the firm regularly in his capacity as a consultant until he passed away in November 2024.

James Yeowart’s son, Nicholas Yeowart, articled to the firm in 1992 and has practiced at the firm since his admission as an attorney in January 2000.

Nicholas is also a practicing Notary, and in addition to managing an active fiduciary services practice, Nicholas has been:-

• A member of the Law Society of South Africa’s Committee on Wills, Trusts and Planning;
• A founder member of the Cape Law Society’s Committee on Wills, Estates and Trusts; and
• An examiner for the Estates and Attorneys’ Bookkeeping papers of the Attorneys’ Admission Exam
